Moody Photos Of Omsk In The Fog

On November 19, 2017 by Tim Newman

Omsk Oblast is situated in the south-west of Siberia. The region is famous for experiencing impressive temperature swings and, consequently, relatively unpredictable weather.

Omsk’s average temperature in the summer is a relatively balmy 20°C but drops down to an average of -17°C in the winter. However, outside of the average, temperatures can reach +40°C in the summer and -40°C in the winter. It is a world of extremes.

Recently, it got rather foggy, and photographers hit the streets. Normally, I perhaps wouldn’t have posted a bunch of photos of fog, but Omsk gets a fair few mentions on Lazer Horse so I thought I should cover it for the sake of completion; some of the pictures are quite nice, too.

If you want to generate a sinister atmosphere in which to view these images, click here to listen to a black metal band from Omsk — Inferius Torment.

Pretty moody, right? Right, I’m off to play online slots Canada.
