Strange Paintings By Russian Psychiatric Patients

Russian Psychiatric Ward Wall Art - big foot

I found this collection of paintings on a Russian blog site recently. As far as I can make out they came from the walls of a now demolished psychiatric hospital and were painted by the patients. Unfortunately I haven’t got any more information on the whereabouts of the hospital, so as with anything on the internet you’ll have to take it with a pinch of salt I’m afraid. It seems legit though.

I’m assuming by the overwhelming serenity of the following pieces that the drugs were very much in full effect…
