Here’s a high resolution version of the NASA Curiosity rover‘s descent to Mars and its delicate landing, all lovingly filmed by the MARDI descent imager. A chap called Brad Canning spent months cleaning, re-jazzing and up-smarting the images to give a clean, wobble free video. Thanks Brad.

I always appreciate someone who gets an idea and runs with it when most people would cringe, hide and procrastinate. Dedication is an aspect I lack with vigour.

This video’well worth watching 20 or 30 times. I’m just a kid on the inside inside (and an old man on the outside {and pretty old inside too tbh}), and to see the surface of mars in such earthly detail still blows me away.
