Regional Japanese Flags Look Awesome
I did a post about flags of the world last week and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. So I went on a hunt for regional flags and came across some doozies.
Japan has individual flags for all of it’s geographical areas or prefectures, like our county’s flags. No one really seems to care about our countiy’s flags, maybe because they’re boring?
I certainly do care about these Japanese regional flags, they’re so far from the pomp and ceremony of our heraldic numbers. The simplicity and roundness of the symbols is what strikes you, along with the un-flaglike colours. If you’re as sad and geeky as me I think you might just enjoy these:
