Wulingyuan National Forest Park, China’s oldest from 1982. Designated World Heritage site in 1992. 2004 received Geopark Status. 3000 sandstone pillars shrouded much of the time in mist make this the classical Chinese landscape painting. Rare sight of ice clinging to trees, first time in 2 years. Some of these sandstone pillars rise up to 500 meters, averaging 300 to 400m. Pics of Tianzi Mtn. area.
