PHOTOS: Bolivia’s Tropical Family Portraiture

In the tropical town of Santa Cruz de la Sierra in Bolivia’s highlands, the indigenous migrant workers are particularly fond of portraiture. There are a number of studios in the region that offer posed photographs; the most popular of these photos are the postcard sized, full-length body shots you see below.

The photographic studios offer a number of props – flowers, dinosaurs, backdrops – to the poser before they work their visual magic.
