Medieval Persian Dress

I know, I know, medieval Persian dress is a pretty random topic for a post. But here’s what’s going on: last year we went to the Medieval Festival at Herstmonceux Castle. It was great but we felt rather embarrassed, nay ashamed, that we hadn’t bothered to dress up. So this year’s going to be different, very different indeed. I have decided to go as a medieval Persian of some description, mainly because I’ve always wanted to wear a turban.
