Simon Stålenhag, a talented Swedish artist, paints images of a fading science fiction future. He digitally creates his masterpieces with a Wacom tablet and pen. They aren’t post-apocalyptic, they seem to be pre-apocalytpic, humanity looks like it’s well on its way to some kind of meltdown.

The suburban and rural normality of the scenes gives them a really original flavour. And, the inclusion of the occasional dinosaur certainly helps me love them more.
