Nick Bay has been photographing insects for many years and has honed his craft: he manages to make creepy crawlies look… dare I say it… beautiful. He spends his time hanging out in the sorts of places I would rather avoid i.e. places dense with all things creeping and crawling.

This latest selection of insect snaps are from his home turf – Singapore. It turns out Singapore, with its humid climate, is a literal hot bed of micro beasts.

Lately Nicky has been experimenting with UV light to bring out colours in the insects and arachnids that our eyes don’t normally pick out. Take a look at these (click to enlarge):
