Video: Dancing At Indian Weddings

Although Western weddings are comparitively drab when sat next to an Indian marriage, the dancing involved in both camps can be pretty major. English weddings are generally a little stiff until the music and wine is wheeled: it seems that the same is true for our Indian cousins.

I found the following video this morning and it certainly raised a warm smile. The dance moves are a different style from the British way of doing things, but the sheer unadulterated joy and majestic lack of rhythm is shared by both sets of revelers.

It doesn’t matter where you come from or what you’re in to, when it comes to wedding dances, we’re all on the same page. And it’s a wonderful page to be on:
