The Astounding Ice Caves Of Kamchatka

Kamchatka Ice Cave - Drips

A couple of days back I posted some amazing pictures of bears in the wilderness of Kamchatka. The photographer responsible for those wonderful snaps has also graced us with some equally enchanting images of ice caves in the Kamchatka region.

As the summer starts to melt off the ice, the roofs of the caves thin and allow a precious nubbin of light to permeate them giving a kind of stained glass effect.

Quite beautiful if you ask me…
