Households From Around The World Show Off A Week Of Shopping

A chap called Peter Menzel recently published a photo book where he shows an average family with an average weekly shop. Sounds dull, but I love this sort of thing. It’s the small differences that make the big differences in culture. Sure, people speak different languages and worship different idols, but everyone finds it funny if a fat person falls over, or if someone accidentally swears on TV. We’re not so different at the grass roots level. So that’s why the small things fascinate me.
