“Brother” Jack McDuff was an American jazz organist and organ trio bandleader who was big throughout the hard bop and soul jazz era of the 1960s, often performing with an organ trio. He wrote the track below so that you don’t have to worry when you’re deciding which song to play whilst lighting the BBQ this summer. It’s the perfect accompaniment to a lazy summer meat off. Jack toured the world and brightened people’s days throughout his life, releasing tens of albums. “Captain” Jack McDuff, as he later became known, died of heart beefs at the age of 74 in Minneapolis, what a dude.
